Promoting Patient-Centered Care

Empowering ESRD patients to get more involved in their care.

The IPRO ESRD Network Program works to promoting high quality patient- and family-centered care. We focus on encouraging independence and improved quality of life for people with end-stage renal disease. Our activities promote patient and family engagement, access to medically suitable self-care modalities and kidney transplant, advance care planning, and appropriate end-of-life care.

The IPRO ESRD Network Program supports renal professionals in improving care provided to individuals with end-stage renal disease. We provide information and resources to both patients and healthcare professionals through educational webinars, newsletters, posters, fact sheets, and brochures.

Patients, family members and care partners are encouraged to explore the information and resources provided on this website. We also welcome you to contact your local Network’s Patient Services Director or Network Outreach Coordinator (information listed below) with questions about your treatment, modality choices, grievances or other issues.

The information we offer is intended to better inform you about your options so that you can be more involved in your care and treatment decisions. We encourage you to speak with your nephrologist or a member of your treatment team at your dialysis facility about treatment options that are right for you.
